Chance is currently an acting partner of The Rev Group, and is the director of construction for industrial, transportation, infrastructure and energy & oil projects.
With over 25 years of experience, Chance is a seasoned and well educated project manager. He has completed a total of 30 unique projects in the industrial sector. Each of these projects requiring highly technical experience. Chance holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
Chance got his start as a process and control engineer in Kenai, Alaska. He was directly responsible for main technical support for the DCS systems in the facility. Putting his BS in Chemistry to work, he conducted efficiency testing for package boilers, as well as evaluating gas compressor, catalyst, and waterwell performance. This experience allows Chance to see the project from the field engineer’s perspective, resulting in a greater understanding of chemical processes.
Quickly moving up the management ladder, Chance was hired to be the manager of engineering projects for an industry leading chemical company. During this tenure, he managed projects including cooling towers, control system upgrades and installation, boiler and standby generator systems. Working at the project level, Chance understands the day to day operations of project management in the industrial sector, and knows what it takes to put together a successful chemical facility.
Successively, Chance was promoted to the Regional Engineering Manager for the Western United States. Executively managing several projects at once, he recruited and managed multi-discipline teams in geographically separate locations. This allowed him to execute projects at over 11 different chemical plant locations. Working at the regional management level, Chance understands the key dynamics of a project and is a master of identifying and mitigating risks.
Working at the field, project, and executive levels, Chance has amassed an impressive amount of project management experience. Having hands on experience, combined with regional management skills allow him to know each process every step of the way. This is a valuable asset for the highly technical and complex industrial and energy sector.
